Large teams bleed knowledge: onboarding takes weeks, tribal knowledge lives in people's heads, and the same questions get answered over and over.

For a large identity engineering team, I built a self-service AI assistant that automated onboarding and knowledge sharing — contextual document retrieval over the team's real material, plus AI-generated training paths matched to each role.

What it changed

• New joiners self-served their first weeks instead of consuming a senior engineer's calendar
• Institutional knowledge became queryable instead of oral tradition
• Training paths stayed current because they were generated from living documents, not stale wikis
